What is Assistive Technology?

Assistive Technology encompasses resources and services that promote the functionality and autonomy of people with disabilities. In the context of visual impairment, screen readers transform visual information displayed on monitors and cell phones into synthesized voice or tactile signaling for Braille displays.

Digital inclusion is not limited to entertainment: it is the pillar that enables access to higher education, home office, banking services, grocery shopping, exchanging messages in real time and reading confidential documents without depending on third parties.

Keyboard Shortcut Navigation

A blind person does not use a computer mouse! All navigation is done via quick keyboard combinations (e.g.: Tab for clickable elements, H for headers and Insert + Arrow for continuous reading).
